Your adventure begins with your arrival at Kigali International Airport, where you will be greeted by your guide. After a warm welcome, you’ll embark on a city tour to explore Kigali. Key stops include the Kigali Genocide Memorial, where you’ll learn about Rwanda’s history and resilience, as well as local markets such as Kimironko Market, offering vibrant crafts and textiles. Following the city tour, you’ll journey to Volcanoes National Park (approximately 2.5-3 hours by car). Upon arrival, check into your lodge or hotel for the night, and prepare for the exciting adventures ahead in the next few days.

Day 2 is the highlight of the trip, gorilla trekking in the misty forests of Volcanoes National Park. After an early breakfast, you’ll meet with park rangers who will brief you on the trek and safety procedures. The trek can take anywhere from 1 to 4 hours, depending on where the gorillas are located. Once you find one of the gorilla families, you’ll have up to one hour to observe these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. After the thrilling experience, you’ll return to your lodge for a relaxing afternoon, where you can enjoy a peaceful dinner and unwind after your trek.

Day 5 starts with a rivearly morning game drive in Akagera National Park, when wildlife is most active. This drive offers a chance to spot predators and other wildlife in the early hours. The boat safari is a unique way to experience Akagera’s aquatic life, including hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. The boat ride provides a peaceful contrast to the excitement of the game drives, offering a chance to see the park from a different perspective. Afterward, you will return to your lodge for a relaxing evening.
