Depart overnight in Naivasha which is a birder’s paradise. Optional activities here include a visit to Hell’s National Park or a boat ride on Lake Naivasha. Proceed through the Trans African highway to Nakuru town. Enjoy a game drive at Lake Nakuru park where there are various kinds of wild animals, waterfalls, and birds e.g. the flamingoes, and after Nakuru head to Masai Mara National Reserve which is home to a myriad of birdlife and wildlife including the big five.
Day 1- Nairobi to Lake Naivasha.
Depart from Nairobi for Naivasha driving through the Nairobi- Nakuru highway. Make a stopover at the great rift valley viewpoint which has a spectacular view of the valleys of Mt Kilimambogo which is one of Kenya’s volcanic mountains. Afterward, proceed to Naivasha for a boat ride (extra cost) at Lake Naivasha for a closer view of hippos and larger water birds like great pelicans or a visit to the gorge inside Hell’s Gate National Park (extra cost). Hell’s Gate National Park is the only National Park in Kenya where visitors are around to walk or cycle inside the park. Animals inside the park to be seen include buffaloes, giraffes, antelopes, gazelles, etc.

Day 2- Naivasha to Lake Nakuru National park.
After an early morning, breakfast depart for Lake Nakuru National Park. It is one of Kenya’s National Parks where black and white rhinos are conserved. Larger flocks of greater and lesser flamingoes together with other water birds make the Park a spectacular place for birders. The park also falls under the category of International Bird Areas, the existence of both Masai and Rothschild Giraffes, antelopes, etc. Other attractions include a visit to Makalia falls. Lunch Dinner and Overnight stay at the Lake Nakuru Lodge.

Day 3- Lake Nakuru To Masai Mara National Reserve.
Savor an early breakfast and check out of the hotel, ready for your departure to Masai Mara Reserve. Drive through the Mau Hills, part of the Mau Forest, which is the source of the Mara River. Take the opportunity to capture as many photos as you like of the expansive and verdant tea plantations before reaching the arid regions of Masai land. Upon arrival at the lodge, check in and then relish your lunch. After a period of rest, depart from the lodge for a late afternoon game drive, followed by dinner and an overnight stay at the Masai Mara Sopa Lodge.

Day 4- Explore Masai Mara National Reserve.
Depart from the hotel after an early breakfast, taking your packed lunches with you. This will ensure a remarkable journey through the Masai Mara National Reserve. Searching for animals in the deeper parts of the park will reveal various behaviors and species. A visit to the Mara River’s wildebeest crossing points offers an unparalleled spectacle of the wildebeest migration and the watchful eyes of predators. Enjoy your lunch served by your guide beneath a Balanites tree. In the evening, retreat to your lodge for dinner and to rest overnight.
