This 4-day safari takes you through the highlights of Northern Tanzania, combining incredible wildlife encounters with an immersive cultural experience. You will explore Tarangire National Park, home to massive elephant herds and iconic baobab trees, before heading to the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater for a chance to see the Big Five. The journey continues to Lake Eyasi, where you will spend time with the Hadzabe Bushmen, one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer tribes in Africa. Finally, you will visit Lake Manyara National Park, known for its tree-climbing lions and diverse birdlife, before concluding your adventure and returning to Arusha.

The journey begins with an early morning departure from Arusha, heading southwest to Tarangire National Park. The drive takes approximately two to three hours, offering scenic views of the countryside along the way. Upon arrival, you will embark on a game drive, exploring the vast plains and riverbanks where elephants, zebras, giraffes, and big cats roam freely. Tarangire is famous for its ancient baobab trees and seasonal migration of wildlife. A picnic lunch will be served at a designated site, allowing you to enjoy the stunning surroundings. After a full day of game viewing, you will exit the park and transfer to a lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

The day starts early with a drive to Lake Eyasi, a remote and less-visited destination where the Hadzabe Bushmen and Datoga tribes reside. Upon arrival, you will join the Hadzabe on a morning hunt, experiencing their ancient way of life as they track and gather food using traditional methods. This rare cultural encounter provides insight into their survival techniques, including fire-making, archery, and foraging. Later, you will visit the Datoga blacksmiths, known for crafting weapons and jewelery from scrap metal. After this enriching experience, you will have lunch before driving back to Karatu for an evening of rest at your lodge.

After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a compact yet diverse reserve situated at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. The park is famous for its alkaline lake, which attracts thousands of flamingos and other waterbirds. You will embark on a game drive through the lush groundwater forest, open savannahs, and acacia woodlands in search of elephants, baboons, and the elusive tree-climbing lions. The dense vegetation and dramatic landscapes make Manyara a unique safari destination. After a picnic lunch, you will exit the park and begin the journey back to Arusha, where the safari concludes in the late afternoon.
